Knife. A fixed-blade knife, cutting tool or a pocket-knife will make your survive easier. Might be useful a multi-tool with a knife. The fixed-blade knife, for it’s size, blade options, strength, and multipurpose uses is much better than other tools. But pocket-knife and multi-tool will occupy less space in your bag. Knife uses are countless: creating weapons, opening packages, creating fire-starters (such as bow drill), building emergency shelters, cutting cloth for bandages and much more. Be sure that your knife is clean before you put it in your pocket after use. Before you leave for a trip, check that knife is sharp. This will keep you safe during usage and you will not have to apply extra force in order to cut something.
