Another huge treasure was found in the Atlantic Ocean in 2012 when more than 61 tons of silver were salvaged. That is a part of a cargo of «SS Gairsoppa», a British merchant ship which was hit by a German torpedo in 1941. Until the end of the XXth century it was thought to be lost forever. But where still were some attempts made by British government to locate the place of sinking. And in 2011 the actual point was found and confirmed.

By now an approximate value of silver recovered is about $210 million. But it is only about 20% of the cargo, most part of which is still hidden at the seabed.
